Where do we fly into? You will fly into Fort St. John, British Columbia. You will be met by either ourselves or by one of our trust worthy representatives. But we encourage every one to fly in the day before the day that is schedule to go into the main camp, so that your luggage can catch up with you. This is a common problem that we have run into due to the planes being overloaded. We try to pick everyone up by 11:00 A. M. on the morning that they are due into camp either at their hotel or at the airport (if they aren’t driving).
What can we expect for meals? You will be served the best home cooked meals that can be provided. We bring in fresh vegetables, fruit, and anything else that we might need for each hunt. We have some of the best cooks, who can cook fresh bread, pies, cakes, cookies, and full course meals for each meal.
What charges are there for flights? We do not charge for any charted flights in or out of camp. Also we don’t charge for any meat or trophy transfers.
How do we get our trophies home? We deal with a very professional taxidermist who can either mount or ship your prized trophy. He is a local taxidermist who has good judgment of how an animal should look like or all of the procedures to ship your trophy home.
How many hunters will be in my camp? We don’t put 2 hunters in the same camp that are hunting the same species, unless the client has requested it. Usually the only time we see this is if it is a father/son combination or really close friends.
What are we allowed for a GST (goods and service tax) refund? As of this year the normal rate of GST is 6% and also there will be NO refund available. This is a new government change.
How do we purchase our tags and license? In May of the year that you are coming to join us for your trip we will send you a form and on that form you will indicate which tags you would like. You will then return that form along with your itinerary back to us. Then a few days before your scheduled arrival we will purchase your tags and license to await your arrival.
What kind of communication do you have? We will have a satellite phone in the main camp. Also we will have radio communications between camps back to the main camp. For those who happen to have a spike camp Dennis will check on them with the plane and radio every day weather permitting. We also have internet, so the family members that would like to know how the loved ones are doing they are welcome to send e-mails and we will answer them as soon as possible. Safety is our primary concern.
